| Race Summary |
|
KING GULCH lacked early speed, moved out on the
turn, came five wide into the stretch, rallied into the final
furlong and closed strongly to get up at the wire. INDY RECORD
dueled on the outside, inched clear entering the stretch, remained
clear into the final sixteenth but was denied at the wire. HE'S BOY
WONDER bumped with a rival early, chased the pace between horses,
raced three wide on the turn and weakened while just able to get the
show. HOYA chased the pace on the outside then four wide on the turn
and tired. REAL QUIET MAN was restless in the gate, bumped with a
rival early, was ridden along on the outside, raced five wide on the
turn and failed to threaten. HES GONE WILD chased the pace through
the turn and gave way. SIR STEPHEN dueled on the inside, dropped out
leaving the turn and also tired. SEYMOUR NAEVUS saved ground towards
the rear of the field and was outrun. |
