Race Summary

CANAVERAL DANCER chased outside early, bid three wide in the second turn, drew off to mid stretch then lasted late. SONREA made a middle move after five furlongs, angled inside in the drive then was slowly gaining along the rail late. STEEL DRUMS was well placed, bid into the stretch then weakened. BODYSHOTS was well placed but had no rally. SUCCESSFUL J. set a moderate pace then steadied while tiring inside SONREA in the furlong grounds. UNCLE NICK failed to menace. TRASH STALKER chased early, bid in the second turn then faltered. WESTERN SUTTER showed little. There was a stewards inquiry and claim of foul by the rider of SUCCESSFUL J against SONREA but there was no change in the original order of finish.
