Race Summary

RARE FLYER was well placed just off the pace, saved ground on the far turn, moved out at the top of the stretch and closed gradually to get up near the wire. HUNTERSRUNAWAY settled in the middle of the field while near the rail, moved out in upper stretch and closed well but just missed. CHIEF OF AFFAIRS raced off the rail on the first turn, set the pace, vied inside on the far turn, held a clear lead into the final furlong but tired and was overtaken. CUTBANK raced three wide on the first turn, chased the pace and weakened then went evenly late. JUSTWILL brushed with a rival at the start, bumped with TRIOFIELD and savaged that rival early on the first turn, settled well off the pace, was roused on the far turn and lacked the needed rally. TRIOFIELD bumped with JUSTWILL early on the first turn, raced three then four wide on that turn, was urged along in middle of the field, shifted four wide near the quarter-pole then dropped to three wide entering the stretch and failed to rally. CAPTAIN KITE raced four to five wide on the turns and was outrun. ELOQUICK raced four wide on the first turn, was forwardly placed on the outside, chased three then four wide on the far turn and faded. CUT THE STAR hit the gate at the start, was through after a half-mile and retreated then was eased in the stretch but walked off. AUTHENTIC JONES raced well back in the field and faltered then was pulled up at the top of the stretch but walked off.
