| Race Summary |
TOMBALL pressed the pace on the outside, vied three wide on the turn, took the lead at the top of the stretch then edged clear under one tap of a down-turned whip and strong hand urging. EARLY DANCER was hard ridden on the outside, advanced leaving the backstretch, chased four wide on the turn, made a bid passing the quarter-pole and was outfinished but gamely earned the place. BILLET was away awkwardly, dueled on the inside, battled gamely in the stretch but was also outfinished. HOMEISAHONKEYTONK dueled for the lead, battled into upper stretch then weakened. CANUIMAGINETHAT broke in the air, moved up then chased the pace, raced just off the rail on the turn and came up empty. WOKE UP SINGIN was hustled from the start but lacked speed, came three wide into the stretch and failed to threaten. WOODSY was hard ridden while off the pace, raced four wide on the turn and failed to respond. ROYAL DATE was off slow then shifted out and nearly unseated the rider, raced at the back of the field and was no factor. EARLY EXPECTATIONS chased the pace, raced three wide on the turn and faded. |

OUR DANCER chased the leader early, bid in the second turn to gain a short lead then continued gamely through a long drive and was all out to narrowly prevail. SONG CYCLE made an inside middle move, angled off the rail in the drive then finished willingly to just miss. DISGUISE came in slightly into the first turn, set a slow pace then resisted to the final furlong before weakening. DECAF AGAIN looped five wide moving to contention out of the second turn but failed to sustain that rally. MY BOY BLUE was well placed for six furlongs then faded. HONOLUA STORM was taken up inside DISGUISE into the first turn. BOGANGLES trailed. |

CATRIN raced three wide on the first turn, was rated on the outside, drew even near the seven-sixteenths pole, vied four then three wide on the far turn, battled gamely between rivals in the stretch and just missed. TRIOFIELD was reserved at the back of the compact field, shifted five wide near the quarter-pole, rallied in upper stretch and closed well but also just missed. RARE FLYER was rated just off the pace, vied between rivals on the far turn, battled determinedly in the stretch but was outfinished late. ELOQUICK was last away then hustled to the lead, set the pace while off the rail, vied inside of rivals on the far turn, dropped to the rail near the quarter-pole, battled into the final furlong then gave way. CAPTAIN KITE was fractious in the gate, settled on the inside, saved ground on both turns and came up empty. DONERAILE'S PEAK jostled with a rival after the start, settled just off the pace and dropped out. |
