| Race Summary |
|
SALINO came out in the early going, settled off the
pace, rallied leaving the far turn, made a bid near the eighth-pole,
battled with SYMBOLOGY in the final furlong, brushed with that rival
late and gamely prevailed under strong urging. SYMBOLOGY moved
through on the inside to take the lead, set the pace through
moderate fractions, was challenged near the eighth-pole, battled
gamely with SALINO in the final furlong, came out a bit late and
brushed with that rival then was denied. STORMY'S LIGHTNING chased
the pace, came three to four wide into the stretch and tired.
WILDCAT LIL broke outward at the start, settled off the pace, was
urged along while three to four wide on the turn and failed to
respond. SPILL THE WINE was forced out early, raced well back in the
field, shifted five wide near the quarter-pole and failed to
threaten. HAVANA HARBOR broke outward at the start, lacked early
speed, saved ground on the turn and was no factor.
