Race Summary

CLUB TEJANO bumped with a rival at the start, settled outside on the backstretch, moved closer with a half-mile to run, engaged the leaders while four wide on the far turn, edged clear in upper stretch, drifted out a bit inside the furlong marker and proved best under steady urging. RARE FLYER bumped with a rival and was in tight near the seven-eighths pole, was rated just off the pace, made a rail bid leaving the backstretch, vied inside on the far turn and was outfinished while able to secure the place. TRIOFIELD was bumped on both sides at the start, settled at the back of the leading group, shifted four wide near the quarter-pole and lacked the needed response while best of the rest. FR. DENIS bumped with a rival near the seven-eighths pole, raced three wide on the first turn, was rated just off the pace, dropped back near the seven-sixteenths pole, went three wide on the far turn, moved to five wide near the quarter-pole and came up empty. CAPTAIN KITE raced four wide on the first turn, prompted the pace on the outside, vied three wide on the far turn and gave way. TEXAS PACIFIC was well rated while setting the pace off the rail, vied between rivals on the far turn and dropped out. COMMITMENTS REWARD bumped with a rival at the start, raced three wide on the first turn and was outrun.
