| Race Summary |
|
KALANCHOE was unhurried near the back,
rallied four wide into the stretch, closed strongly to get the
lead nearing the sixteenth-pole and edged clear under right
hand urging. LA POTRA SALDINA broke out slightly at the start,
settled off the pace, rallied on the far turn, made a bid
passing the quarter-pole, inched clear into the final furlong
but was overtaken while clear for the place. DIVA D'ORO raced
four to five wide on the first turn, settled in the front half
of the field, was urged along on the far turn and came up
empty while best of the rest. HOME FUN moved in entering the
first turn, set the clear pace, lost the lead leaving the far
turn and gave way. ZUPPARDO'S FROST settled on the inside,
saved ground on both turns and failed to rally. ZEKES FORTUNE
was caught five wide on the first turn, dropped to three wide
leaving that turn, settled off the pace and also failed to
rally. THAT'S OUR DESTINY was in tight late on the first turn,
dropped into the middle of the field and failed to respond.
MANDALAY MIST went three wide on the first turn, lingered
towards the back, raced five wide midway through the far turn,
dropped to four wide near the quarter-pole and also failed to
respond. BLAZING YIELD raced three wide on the first turn,
lagged near the back, went three to four wide on the far turn
and failed to threaten. SANDDUNESDIAMONDS raced three to four
wide on the first turn, tracked the leader, chased inside on
the far turn and tired. CHERUB STAR was off slow, went four
wide on the first turn, settled well back in the field, raced
six wide midway through the far turn, dropped to three wide
near the quarter-pole and was no factor. BROOKS CASTLE lugged
out on the first turn, dropped back while continuing to lug
out on the backstretch and was pulled up but walked off. (Rail
