|
OUT OF THE RUFF close from the start, moved to
challenge in the second turn, brushed while splitting foes upper
stretch, proved best under spirited handling. DU PARS hopped at the
start, moved up and settled, moved closer four wide in the second
turn, set down, proved determined for the place. MINIMAST broke in
the air, raced back, staged a rally five wide turning for home,
missed the place. FOREST VOICES in the second flight, moved to the
front three wide turning for home, brushed with the winner three
sixteenths out, not enough the final furlong. ARLIE JACK lacked
speed, swung out to be four wide exiting the second turn, improved
position slightly in the drive while never dangerous. WHATA SMUCK
saved ground much of the way, went evenly in the drive. GENERAL LAKE
raced back, four wide out of the final turn, picked off a couple of
tiring foes. CHIC A BID trailed much of the way, five wide out of
the second turn, passed tiring foes. THREE TICKETS dueled up front
off the inside, gave way in the drive. BANKER'S STAR lacked speed,
wide, remained back. HUNTERSRUNAWAY alternated up front closest to
the inside, stopped. DIXIE BANDITO staged a steady retreat.

larger advantage turning for home, held sway late. MCGLAMERY ROAD
off slow, moved up, circled four then five wide through the turn,

when moving a bit closer late in the turn, continued to lack room
upper stretch, moved out and was going well at the end while between
foes. BROAD'S BEWARE in the second group in the turn, asked for some
run late in the turn, came five wide into the stretch and improved
position. SUNDAY CHURCH off slow, trailed for a half, moved to the
far outside for the drive, found best stride too late down the
middle part of the strip. PERSIMMON HOLLOW within striking distance,
in some traffic late in the turn, moved out a bit for the drive,
finished up willingly. AWESOME ENDING lacked speed, went evenly
paced in the three path most of the way. CAPTAIN'S CREW with the
pace for just under a half between foes and three wide, faded.
TUMBLE CREEK lacked speed, moved out to be six wide out of the turn,
failed to rally. SHOE STRAP with the pace for a half between foes,
gave way. CUPID'S GLANCE steadied into the turn when well off the

RATED FIESTY dueled up front off the inside, put a
head in front upper stretch, alternated to the wire, dug in, game.
PALANKA CITY broke sharp, narrowly set the pace while in hand,
alternated the final furlong, outfinished. MAREN'S MEADOW chased the
top two, proved no match for that pair in the drive while off the
inside. CLEVER STRIKE settled off the pace, came between foes into
the lane when with the second flight, lacked a serious late kick.
MINEWANDER went evenly behind the pace while three then four wide in
the turn. REEL CHROME five wide late in the turn, failed to muster a
late bid. WRIGGLE sluggish early, remained back throughout. ANNIE
SAVOY bothered slightly at the start, raced inside, finished well
back. |

|
ANY WHICH WAY hustled clear for the early lead,
rated the pace inside, was pressured toward the eighth pole and
responded in kind. OBSCURITY chased the pace from the inside, eased
out nearing the quarter pole and finished well though not a threat
to the winner. SUNSHINE COFFEE gave chase from the outside and
finished evenly. ALYJEN'S SPEED chased the pace about the three
path, had aim at the quarter pole then leveled off in the lane. MORE
COWBELL showed no speed early, angled out in the upper stretch and
had no rally. YES I'M THE MAN gave chase about the three path and
faded on the turn. OUT OF THE RUFF never factored.

was no factor. JUMP COUNTER lacked early speed, improved position,
but was no factor. KING GULCH raced in the back of the pack, moved
up, but was no threat. PRECIOUS BEANS raced within contention in the
early going, faded and finished evenly. TITRANIUM pressed the pace

PRETTY KATHERINE stalked the pace inside, bid along
the rail on the turn to gain the lead nearing the quarter pole,
dueled inside, inched away past midstretch and proved best under
urging. LADY LUMBERJACK chased a bit off the rail then between foes,
continued outside a rival on the urn, came three deep into the
stretch, bumped with JILONA in midstretch and just got the place.
ROYAL FORTUNE sprinted to the early lead and angled in then lugged
out some, dueled between horses then outside the winner on the turn
and until past midstretch, could not match that one and just lost
second. BIRTHDAY TIME broke in a bit, settled inside then moved up
along the rail on the turn, continued along the fence in the stretch
and was outfinished. JILONA stalked a bit off the rail, bid three
deep on the turn, fell back some leaving the turn, drifted in and
brushed BIRTHDAY TIME then came out and bumped with the runner-up in
midstretch and weakened. EXOTIC DESIGN settled outside or off the
rail, angled in some leaving the turn and did not rally. GOLDEN
NOODLE SOUP chased between foes then three deep on the backstretch,
angled in a bit off the rail on the turn and weakened. The stewards
conducted an inquiry into the bumping in the stretch between the
runner-up and JILONA but made no change when they ruled both runners
contributed to the contact between them. |

SENTEBALE saved ground setting the pace and turned
back the challenge of BETTE TO WIN in the final furlong. KLONDIKE
MOON, never far back, closed well to run down rival late for second.
BETTE TO WIN prompted the two wide then loomed boldly a furlong out
but was not good enough. CALL HER LADY DAY showed speed from the
outset and lacked a solid rally. ROYAL HUMOR showed speed racing
along the inside rail then weakened. HEAVEN SENT was outrun.

FEARLESS LEADER broke sharp, set a solid pace,
shook off bids leaving the turn to regain a clear lead then
prevailed late under steady handling. SUPER SLASH made an inside
middle move, angled off the rail in upper stretch then was slowly
gaining on the leader late. WRIGGLE also made a middle move through
the turn, swung outside in the furlong grounds but lacked a strong
late response. MODIFICATION made a middle move but failed to sustain
that rally. LOVEYASISTER chased early, bid leaving the turn then was
checked in tight quarters while lugging out in the drive. BEDSIDE
STORY failed to menace. AMAZING BEAUTY was through after a half.
LONG TIME GONE stopped. There was a stewards inquiry and claim of
foul by the rider of LOVEYASISTER against WRIGGLE but the results
were permitted to stand as posted. |

THE PRINCE moved up around horses leaving the turn
then ran down the leader in the final furlong to win going away
under a drive. ON DECK, never far back, closed well outside rivals
in the stretch. POLITICAL CHIEF broke alertly to show the way into
the final furlong then faded. MERCHANTS ROW was outrun to the

WRIGGLE lodged her bid from the outside and closed
determinedly to run down the leader. VICAR'S VIXEN was prominent
from the outset and finished gamely between rivals. LIVIA LA VIDA
LOCA moved closer leaving the turn then responded well in the drive.
YANKEE VICTORIA raced in close pursuit, loomed boldly in the stretch
but was not quite good enough. DANCING FERN prompted the pace then
gave way grudgingly. MY PREFERED broke sharp to show the way to
upper stretch then faded. CROWNINSHIELD was fractious in the gate
then lacked a rally. BARBAZILLA showed little.
