EXPECT A NOTE broke inward but soon gained a spot
along the rail for the trip through the first turn, well rated on
the lead, began to edge away nearing the three-eighths pole, roused
at the eight pole to a clear win. VALID COMMITMENT brushed out of
the starting gate, settled, asked for more nearing the three-eighths
pole, was four wide on the second turn, loomed briefly as a threat
to the leader at the eighth-pole but gave way. FEISTY MEISTER went
into the opening turn three wide to track the early lead, was two
wide on the second turn, couldn't get to the winner and grudgingly
gave way while losing the place. SUDDENLY KOOL was three wide on the
first turn, tracked nicely behind the leaders, went through the
second turn four wide and did not threaten the top three. GENUINE
TEXAN was a bit unsettled in the starting gate, traveled through the
opening turn six wide yet settled just behind the leader, asked for
run nearing the quarter-pole while three wide and faded. F P DEE
AMANTEE was five wide on the first turn, pulled shortly after the
opening quarter mile, waited for room just past the three-eighths
pole and did not advance after that. CATAPULT SHOT broke through the
gate prior to the start but quickly was handled by the assistant
starter and reloaded, was four wide through the first turn, raced
midpack and did not advance. FORMAL TONE broke sharply but soon
found the back of the pack, did not threaten. SCOVILLE HEAT bobbled
coming out of the starting gate, settled behind the leaders but was
caught seven wide going into the first turn, raced toward the back
and did not advance. BUSTED BISCUIT went through the first turn
seven wide and showed little after that. |

| Race Summary |
|
ILIMITADO chased the leaders to the turn, traveled
four wide through the turn, was kept under a drive approaching the
eighth-pole and got up for the win. FIESTY LULA was ridden to keep
up with the early pace, traveled three wide through the turn, made a
strong move along the rail near the sixteenth-pole to just miss the
win. KNOW THAT MELODY was ridden to the early lead, went two wide
through the turn, got clear at the quarter-pole, was caught inside
the final sixteenth and deadheated for the show. OUR STORY raced
near the back early, traveled five wide through the turn, made a
late rally when the rider went to a right-handed whip leaving the
eighth-pole and got up for a deadheat for third. SEGUIN LIGHTHOUSE
raced near the front early before dropping back approaching the
turn, was three wide on the turn and finished evenly. JUST
VALIDATION raced near the pace, maintained that position while four
wide through the turn, no rally. STORMY'S LIGHTNING contested the
early lead, was two wide on the turn and tired. SALINO broke very
slowly and was never a factor. |

NEWFOUND MISS was never far back along
inside, came three wide into stretch, when making bid, gained
narrow edge mid stretch, kept to task, prevailed. TEMPT ME
well positioned along rail into stretch, came off rail top
stretch, went gamely but unable to reach winner. TEENIE
trailed early, circled five wide into stretch, finished well
with a belated mid track rally. SOMETHING LOVELY dueled for
early advantage, dropped back at the half, four wide into
stretch, weakened. NO EXAGGERATION stalked leaders from start,
moved up mid stretch to loom danger, gave way. MELODY OF
VICTORIA hustled to front, set pace for half, faded in lane.
ADOANNIE failed to menace. RED BIRD'S HONOR was not a factor.
MARITAL BLISS chased pace for half, dropped back. CELEE wide
from start, showed little. FORUM ROAD was never a threat.
GOSPEL PRANCER was always outrun. |

| Race Summary |
|
FALL SEMESTER stalked the pace for six furlongs,
rallied four wide in the drive and wore down the leaders in the
final strides. MANE MACHO chased the leader from the outset, bid
outside that one after six furlongs, drew even late before being
caught on the wire. SPOTLIGHT SCAM came out start, set a solid pace
then resisted gamely to late before just hanging. SIR PRIZE U was
brushed at the break, made a middle move through the second turn but
failed to sustain that rally. ONE PUNCH SONNY raced wide early,
pressed the pace for six furlongs then faded. SLIEVE CENTURY failed
to menace. JZ'S GOLD SPLENDOR was no factor. CRAZY HORSE WILL showed
little. There was a stewards inquiry and claim of foul by the rider
of SIR PRIZE against SPOTLIGHT SCAM but there was no change in the
original order of finish. |
