then prevailed under solid hand urging. FERROUS was sent wide early
to go clear, angled in and set the pace, came two wide for the
drive, was headed in upper stretch, dueled inside the winner and
continued gamely. PLATINUM MAESTRO , taken to rate while saving

CHARM saved ground into the lane and came up empty. WITH PLEASURE
was rated back after an alert beginning, stalked the pace for a half
mile then dropped back. AGUERRI was outrun. DR. NITRO , sluggish
from the gate, was always well back. |

| Race Summary |
|
BAZZOOM had speed between foes then dueled outside
a rival, inched away and angled in on the second turn, drifted out a
bit from the whip past midstretch and held sway under good handling.
PREMIER ISSUE chased outside a rival then off the rail, moved up
inside on the second turn, split rivals a quarter mile out and was
second best. SOUTH BAY SCOTY settled off the pace outside a rival,
advanced four wide leaving the second turn and into the stretch and
bested the others. THREE PARK NIGHT saved ground off the pace, came
out into the stretch and again in upper stretch and lacked the
needed rally. GEAUXFORTHEDEAUX in a bit tight after the start,
stalked just off the rail then outside a rival into the second turn,
split horses three deep leaving that bend, was in tight again off
heels in upper stretch and weakened. ENGADIN had good early speed
and dueled inside, dropped back leaving the second turn and into the
stretch and had little left. |
