|
RICH HERO went up early to track front-running
READY IN THE MORN four wide in hand, moved steadily to take over in
the upper stretch, drew clear and was under mild encouragement to
hold sway. DIXIE DECISION, unhurried early, raced in behind foes,
advanced between horses three or four wide into the final furlong
and was all out to earn the place. SIR JOCK, up close early, settled
three or four wide, angled to the rail for the final furlong and
couldn't make up the difference. BOSS LAFITTE stalked the pace four
or five wide, raced within easy striking distance into the final
furlong and came up empty. READY IN THE MORN gained the lead inside
early, drew off three wide entering the backstretch, showed the way
to the head of the stretch and faltered in the drive. OLDHAM raced
near the inside and was empty. CORNWHISKEY broke awkwardly, leaned
in bumping CAUSATION, raced in a striking position between foes
three or four wide to the stretch and weakened. CAUSATION, bumped at
the start by CORNWHISKEY, raced three wide most of the way and never
threatened. SPLISH never was prominent. SOTTOMARINO broke slowly and
was always outrun. |

|
TURN AWAY tracked the pace in hand four or five
wide, swept to the front when ready leaving the turn, drew off,
drifted out at the last eighth and widened when ridden out. FAIR
ROSE, near the inside and within striking distance to the upper
stretch, was no threat to the winner while clear for the place.
ROMAN FOOLER raced in contention four five wide from the outset, was
just off the winner in the upper stretch and came up empty. WRIGGLE
edged in early to race four wide, maintained a contending position
to the upper stretch and flattened out in the drive. ACCOPELA CHOIR,
outrun to the lane, improved position but never menaced. DREAMFUL,
four or five wide, had no rally. ON YOUR KNEES went evenly. SALINO
gained a slim lead near the inside early while dueling with
SAYITPAYIT, battled with that one for a half and weakened gradually
soon after. SAYITNPAYIT dueled for the lead from early on while
outside of SALINO, reached the front just after going a half, held
on well until the stretch and tired. ALIBI BABY was outrun. BEE A
INDY was slow to start and showed nothing. |
