Race Summary

ATTRIBUTION had the best speed and angled to the rail into the first turn, was collared and passed on the backstretch, raced inside to the far turn, rallied to the lead in mid stretch then outfinished EPIC FLING to the line. EPIC FLING stalked the pace three wide to the half, made a run three wide and loomed menacingly into the stretch but was outfinished in the final furlong. RIVER GETAWAY bumped with ATNAS ATINA at the start, had no speed, saved ground to the stretch then had a mild late rally. ATNAS ATINA bumped with RIVER GETAWAY at the start then tracked the pace four wide to the backstretch, settled to the second turn, came three wide to the stretch but lacked the needed late response. GOLDEN SCORE was outsprinted to the first turn, raced two wide and pushed to the front into the backstretch, set the pace to the second turn then was caught by the winner and tired in the stretch. TAGUS broke a step slow and took up slightly right after the start and was not a factor.

PLAYFUL PAL rated off the pace, rallied four wide to gain a clear lead nearing the quarter pole, angled to the inside, responded when challenged by RAGGEDY MAN in the stretch and was fully extended to prevail. RAGGEDY MAN chased the pace, was outmoved by the winner on the turn, eased out and made a run at the winner in the stretch but was outgamed to the wire. NIKOLAY allowed to settle, raced three wide on the turn, swung out for the stretch run and was gaining on the top ones at the wire. CHILLY CARSON chased the pace three wide, was steadied from between rivals midway of the turn, remained in contention into the stretch and gave way. DOCTOR BOROS reserved in striking position off the pace, lacked a late response. HOLBORN CIRCLE stumbled at the start, showed speed along the rail to midway of the turn, then tired. BANFF raced four wide on the turn and failed to menace. ROUGHNESS showed little after breaking slowly and being steadied at the start. TWICE TOO MUCH was outrun while saving ground. MIDLUCKY was not a factor. HIDDEN NOTEBOOK chased the pace along the rail into the turn, faltered and was eased in the final eighth. LACE ME UP showed brief foot, faded and was pulled up in the stretch.
