RUN FOR DESSERT stalked the pace inside, bid along
the rail to gain the lead on the second turn, inched away nearing
the stretch and drew off under urging. SWEET DEE'S prompted the pace
outside a rival then three deep on the second turn and bested the
rest. ROYAL FLUSH had good early speed and was taken off the rail,
dueled inside the runner-up then between horses on the second turn
and weakened but held third. WENDY'S ON TO ME close up stalking the
pace outside the winner then off the rail on the second turn, came
out into the stretch and also weakened. SONGTHRUSH broke a bit
slowly, settled off the rail, angled in leaving the backstretch,
came out some in upper stretch and did not rally.

|
ROCK' N FIRE bobbled lightly at the start, settled
in behind horses, rallied from the rail into the lane, eased out
three or four wide into the late going and drove clear under urging.
KANACATOOSE, up closed inside early, rallied from the rail, took
over, drew clear, then failed to contain the winner in the late
going. ON SECOND THOUGHT swerved at the start, was straightened and
sent up to gain the advantage near the inside, made the pace to the
final quarter and weakened. COUSIN PAUL well placed always and four
wide, was empty when straightened for the drive. CATON'S SECRET,
outsprinted early, made a mild run to reach contention in the upper
stretch and failed to continue. WILD NEKIA failed to rally in an
even effort. DANCIN SKEEANNO, outrun for a half, improved position
while well off the inside and not a serious threat. BANFF failed to
rally. REMANDED tracked the pace four or five wide to the stretch
and weakened thereafter. RED BOY was outrun. CAPTAIN TREY tired
after a half. DEPUTY UNDERWOOD never was prominent.

|
TIME OUT gained the lead early, raced three wide
under careful handling, was clear for the final furlong and
prevailed under solid left-handed encouragement. SNOW CAPPED,
forwardly placed near the inside early, raced in behind the winner
on the turn, came outside of TIME OUT for the drive but couldn't
offer the needed response while earning the place. ESTRELA PEGASUS,
in contention near the inside between foes early, lost a bit of
position nearing the stretch, continued between horses but could
gain only slightly in the late going. TRICK LANTERN, within striking
distance always and five wide, lacked a closing response. SCOTT'S
CAT, never far back and four or five wide, raced in closest
attendance to the winner into the final furlong and flattened out.
IRISH BULLDOG, within striking distance and racing near the inside
to the stretch, eased out four wide for the drive and was empty the
last eighth. C J'S COUNTRY, in contention near the inside between
foes early, was steadied nearing the five-sixteenths pole and
weakened thereafter. MAIN POINT raced near the inside and wasn't a
factor. PHONE TEASE, a bit sluggish to begin, never menaced and
faded in the stretch. |

MARK OF SUCCESS stalked the dueling leaders from
early on while five wide, took over leaving the eighth pole and
drove clear. DEPUTY'S CASE angled in early to force the pace four
wide, gained the advantage on the turn, then could not match strides
with the winner late. READILY exchanged bumps at the start with MR.
SMEE, went up to vie for the lead from between foes, raced
prominently into the lane and was empty late. MUNI HIGH YIELD,
sluggish to start and steadied, was outrun to the lane and unable to
menace while offering a mild gain. STEP TO THE MUSIC, well placed
inside into the lane, was empty when the test came. CHILLY CARSON
raced within striking distance inside for a half and failed to
respond. INTI tired leaving the turn. QUIET DEPUTY, sluggish to
start, failed to menace. CANELA, outrun to the stretch, was 10 wide
in the stretch run and unable to menace. MATTY JUNIOR never was
prominent. MR. SMEE exchanged bumps at the start with READILY,
gained a slight edge, dueled for a half and tired. WICKED WALT,
eight wide on the backstretch, never was a factor.

into the first turn and alternated from off the rail, responded into
the stretch while remaining off the rail, drew clear and was ridden
out to the line. MINTURN pressed the pace between horses from the

the win. RIVER GETAWAY steadied from between horses at the start and
lagged to the second turn, circled three wide to rally into the lane
then lost his punch. TAGUS was never far back, commenced his bid
four wide at the three eighths, challenged the winner into the lane
and gradually faded. MARCOLA raced unhurried early, came three wide
on the second turn then failed to respond. OUR WHIZBANG lagged to
the second turn, tried to rally while five wide on the second turn
but was never a factor. SHOOTIN' Z BULL steadied inside COUNT ANOMAR
at the start then settled and was three wide to the second turn,
