| Race Summary |
|
RUSH BAY tracked the pace four wide from early on,
reached the front a quarter-mile out, then won going away under
pressure. SILENT BID gained a clear lead early, raced near the
inside, made the pace until the final quarter and wasn't a mach for
RUSH BAY in the drive. DYNAMIC STORM, within easy striking distance,
raced three or four wide and lacked a closing bid. BAVARIAN BARON,
outrun early, moved inside, rallied from the rail entering the lane
and offered a minor gain. PATRIOT ACT raced within easy striking
distance five wide, was asked for more leaving the five-sixteenths
pole and flattened out in the drive. THUNDER MISSION settled in
behind horses, raced three or four wide to the stretch and was empty
in the drive. FAN OF THE CAT failed to menace. LIVEINTHEPRESENT
drifted in at the start bumping WAVE LAND SLEW, then never was
prominent. GLENROTHES forced the pace four wide for six furlongs and
tired. WAVE LAND SLEW, bumped at the start by LIVEINTHEPRESENT and
forced in, tired upon going a half. |

|
OLD FASHION GIRL, never far back while following
the pace four or five wide, wrested command entering the upper
stretch, settled into the final furlong with a clear advantage and
was kept to her task. KEY TO THE CAT, unhurried early while five or
six wide, came a bit wider into the lane, was just off the winner
for the final furlong and couldn't offer the needed response as
second best. SAREE (GB), never far back, lacked a late response and
was six wide in the drive. ERHU chased front-running ROSE HUNTER
from early on while four or five wide, briefly reached the front
between calls approaching the stretch but tired in the drive. CAPE
TOWN LASS, unhurried early, offered a mild gain while off the
inside. SONG TRACK failed to rally in an even effort. DREW AWAY
broke slow, was outrun to the stretch and improved position while
unable to menace. MISS GOOSEBUMPS was outrun to the lane and passed
tired foes. OCTOBER GLORY (IRE) tired on the far turn.
SAHMKINDAWONDERFUL raced in contention to the stretch and flattened
out. SKIP POKER was outrun. ROSE HUNTER gained the lead early, raced
near the inside, showed the way until midway on the far turn and
faded. |

|
GREEK SUN off a bit slowly, settled outside a
rival, moved up outside leaving the second turn and five wide into
the stretch and closed gamely under some left handed urging to get
up late. LAURA'S LUCKY BOY forced the pace between horses, took a
short lead three deep into the stretch and held on gamely but was
caught late. HENDRIX bumped into the first turn, raced close up
stalking the pace inside, bid along the rail in the stretch and
continued willingly to just hold third. IMPERIALISM unhurried
outside a rival then along the inside, came out on the second turn
and five wide into the stretch and finished well. SEMI LOST between
foes early, was bumped into the first turn, stalked three deep, came
four wide into the stretch and was outfinished. TERROPLANE (FR)
prompted the pace three deep, fell back a bit into the stretch and
lacked the needed response. ON THE ACORN (GB) saved ground off the
pace, came out into the stretch and could not summon the necessary
late kick. WHILLY (IRE) sped to the early lead and angled in, was
briefly clear leaving the first turn, set a pressured pace inside,
came out into the stretch, fought back between horses in midstretch
and weakened some late. BORREGO pulled early, chased between foes
and was bumped between rivals into the first turn, continued a bit
off the rail leaving the backstretch and on the second turn, lacked
room off heels in deep stretch, angled in and lacked the needed
response. |

PEPPERMINT LILLY leaned in at the start bumping
LOWCOUNTRY, forced that one in on SHAMROCK SHORE, was never far
back, moved five wide to take over in the upper stretch and was
clear under solid hand urging. DYNABIN, within striking distance and
racing near the inside to the stretch, angled five wide for the
drive and was second best. SEEK A STAR tracked the pace four or five
wide, gained a narrow lead on the turn and weakened entering the
lane. CAROLINE'S GOLD, outsprinted early, reached contention at the
furlong grounds and lacked a final response. LOWCOUNTRY, bumped at
the start by the winner and forced in, failed to rally. BEAUGESTE,
well placed between foes four wide, weakened leaving the turn. RUBY
RUBY DOO attended the pace between foes for a half and tired. STEAL
THE SHOW contested the pace from near the inside for nearly a half
and weakened. TRUFFLE failed to menace and was six or seven wide
much of the trip. SHAMROCK SHORE, bumped at the start, was checked
behind LAGUNA MADRE when that one broke down and outrun thereafter.
LAGUNA MADRE gained a slight edge early while dueling from the
inside and broke down soon after going a quarter..

Subject: (no subject)
Truffle, 10/16, msw 7 dirt (assumes swelling on stomach isn't
serious) this is a prep for 11/7 or 11/18 on the turf at Churchill
Glenrothes 10/23, msw 8.5 dirt Should run credible but probably can't
win. Gives us Churchill options msw 11/11 and 11/24 or 50clm on 11/27 if
we need it. I think he will be an alc. horse
Hats Off To Thee 10/23, 7 dirt, 30 clm, Paul thinks she is pretty good and
may talk me into 50clm 11/11 at Churchill. Your price is still basis 30 if
she wins.
Cape Town Lass 10/23, 8.5T stakes 100K It will be tough, if we
chicken out there is 9T 10/24 alc. Also have several
Churchill options 11/7 and 11/26 alc. and if by chance she would win the
stakes at Keeneland there is a 150K on 11/20
Up Anchor 10/30 9T and Churchill 11/5 and 11/25. It all depends on
how sound he is after this race. If he looks bad there is a 62.5 on
11/5. If he would win on 10/30 there is a stakes, 150K on 11/21
Secret Crush 11/6 30 clm at Churchill. She needs a win and we need to
give her the chance. she has some small issues (slight heat in knees after
works, slight filling in ankles) that makes me like this spot.
Ask Molly 11/26 mdn 50. Also a mile which might be the right spot for
her. She shouldn't go more than that based on breeding but this might be a
chance for her to close well.
Eyes On Eddy 11/26 msw
On about 11/30 everything will go to Fairgrounds unless we have a
maiden we want to try and break at Turfway then ship that horse.
Hope that Borrego runs big and goes to Hollywood Derby on 11/28
I would expect Trouvere and Barometer Rising to star in about 6-8 weeks,
with Appomattox somewhere along that time. Given possibilities for little
setbacks it could be 8+ weeks for somebody. They are going well and Beau
is excited about the boys, thinks Appomattox will be OK or better.

PRINCE PRADO, never far back, was between foes four
wide on the backstretch, inched to challenge front-running TEN CENTS
A SHINE on the far turn, engaged that one in earnest when
straightened into the stretch, then wore him down in the final
yards. TEN CENTS A SHINE moved clear early, raced in the three path,
was engaged by the winner entering the upper stretch and held on
stubbornly the remainder. UP ANCHOR, unhurried early, moved between
horses five wide into the stretch, loomed a solid threat for the
last eighth but couldn't offer the needed response. BENCH MAKER
ducked out and hit the gate at the start, was unhurried, made a run
from between foes to reach contention in the upper stretch but
failed to sustain the needed momentum. THE LOOPER, outrun for six
furlongs while five wide, came out nine wide when straightened into
the stretch and lacked a late response. TITANIUM GHOST moved inside
early, raced within striking distance and failed to rally. SELL TO
SURVIVE settled in behind horses early, maneuvered out seven wide
for the stretch run and failed to rally. SHAKE THE BANK angled in
early to race four or five wide, tracked the pace to the stretch and
faltered. DYNAREIGN raced forwardly near the inside for nearly six
furlongs and weakened. KNOX tired early on the far turn.
