|
BAENA allowed to settle along the inside, eased out
approaching the second turn, came in entering the second turn,
angled out to split foes nearing the drive, took over and drew out
while ridden out. MALMAS reserved early, got asked nearing the
second turn, steadied when lacking room midway around the turn,
closed gamely when clear and was along for second. EXEMPT restrained
while up close, bid four wide nearing the drive and then had no
final kick. PAVER AND ROLLER out footed early, made a three wide
move down the backstretch, vied around the second turn and then
faltered along the final furlong. TRUFFLE vied for the early lead,
shook clear down the backstretch, responded when collared and then
faltered nearing mid stretch. COTINGA saved ground too no avail.
ALEX'S ALLURE was outrun. ELECTRIFIED wide early, moved up four wide
down the backstretch and then flattened out after entering the
drive. MILITARY DREAM reluctant to load, was never dangerous.
MARYKAYSANDPIT vied outside TRUFFLE early, weakened down the
backstretch, stopped and was eased. |

|
GOING WILD sped to the early lead and angled in,
set the pace on a clear lead along the inside and held sway under
left handed urging. ONLY IN RENO broke inward, angled in and stalked
inside on the backstretch and turn and edged a rival for second.
ATTILA'S STORM broke alertly then stalked between foes or outside a
rival to the stretch and was edged for the place. STORM WOLF in
tight at the start, chased off the rail or outside a rival, came
three deep into the stretch and improved position. GREENGETSTHETRICK
stalked three deep then off the rail leaving the turn, came three
wide into the stretch, drifted in through the drive and weakened.
SUREFIRE SUCCESS saved ground chasing the pace, came out into the
stretch and lacked the needed response. WHAT'S THAT SOUND allowed to
settle inside, moved up along the rail leaving the turn and was not
a serious threat. BAROMETER RISING between foes early, settled a bit
off the rail, angled in on the turn and failed to menace. HANDSOME
MICHAEL K was in a good position chasing outside on the backstretch
and turn, came three deep into the stretch and weakened. LION CAT
dropped back outside early, went four wide into the turn and three
deep into the stretch and did not rally. FROSTMARK steadied when
crowded at the start, moved up between horses then chased a bit off
the rail and weakened in the stretch. ANXIOUSLY AWAITING stalked a
bit off the rail, dropped back on the turn, gave way, was eased and
fell nearing the wire. NEVER AT DUSK stumbled badly at the start and
lost the rider. The stewards conducted an inquiry into the start
before ruling that NEVER AT DUSK was the cause of his own trouble.

into the stretch but could not last. SECOND WINDY raced evenly and
lacked the late response needed. SATIABLE unhurried early, improved
her position while no real threat. PONTOOSUC unseated her rider in
the post parade, pressed early and gave way in the drive. YES ITS
YOU good speed inside for a half but weakened in the stretch drive.
OUR DEPUTY'S LADY failed to menace. IMA YANKEE ROOKIE was through
early. KAREN CALLING was also through early inside. UMFULA was never
close. |

ELLE RUNAWAY unhurried, eased out a bit nearing the
second turn, rallied four wide a quarter out, took over turning for
home and proved best while kept to the task. CIELI allowed to
settle, raced between foes around the turn, moved out for the drive
and was gaining late. EXEMPT raced inside to the second turn, moved
out around the turn and then hung. PAVER AND ROLLER within striking
distance, could make little impact. BRUSSELS LACE improved position.
JUSTA OLD LOVE forwardly placed, bid around the second turn, gained
the edge and then faltered. ALEX'S ALLURE was outrun. SOLDIER'S
DREAM showed little. TRUFFLE broke through the gate before the
start, in the race he showed speed to the drive and then gave way.
MAID GUINEVERE showed speed for a half and then stopped.
MARYKAYSANDPIT was never dangerous. JEWELS ROYAL dropped back.

| Race Summary |
|
TAKE YOUR PICK reserved early on, rallied five wide
into the final turn, wore down leader and edged clear late. MENDING
FENCES dueled from inside to deep stretch, took over and was
outfinished in the late stages. SILVER BISCUIT had no speed for a
half, made a run on the turn but had no late gain in the final
furlong. RAIL THIEF tracked the dueling leaders to the stretch, and
faded in the drive. GLENROTHES well placed between horses at the
quarter pole and weakened in the drive. ONE MON MELODY failed to
menace. PEG'S THUNDER was through after half. CHRISTMAS AT LAST vied
for early lead from the two path for three quarters and faded.
TORREASON was no threat. SILENT SUN was always outrun. FRIENDLY
GAMBLE was through after a half. |
