| Race Summary |
|
ATTRIBUTION had the best speed and angled to the
rail into the first turn, was collared and passed on the
backstretch, raced inside to the far turn, rallied to the lead in
mid stretch then outfinished EPIC FLING to the line. EPIC FLING
stalked the pace three wide to the half, made a run three wide and
loomed menacingly into the stretch but was outfinished in the final
furlong. RIVER GETAWAY bumped with ATNAS ATINA at the start, had no
speed, saved ground to the stretch then had a mild late rally. ATNAS
ATINA bumped with RIVER GETAWAY at the start then tracked the pace
four wide to the backstretch, settled to the second turn, came three
wide to the stretch but lacked the needed late response. GOLDEN
SCORE was outsprinted to the first turn, raced two wide and pushed
to the front into the backstretch, set the pace to the second turn
then was caught by the winner and tired in the stretch. TAGUS broke
a step slow and took up slightly right after the start and was not a
factor. |

| Race Summary |
|
GATHERING GOLD tracked the pace from the just off
the rail in the early going, advanced inside near the half to be
challenging for command once on the second turn, quickly drew clear
in the upper stretch but shortened stride late and just did hold.
WHENTHEWINDBLOWS was permitted to settle early, saved ground on both
turn and rallied into the stretch, shifted out for the drive and was
closing steadily to just miss. ATTRIBUTION stalked the pace three
wide to the second turn and gradually faded. MAJESTY RIDGE raced
unhurried early while well off the rail, commenced his bid two wide
on the second turn but lacked the needed response. ANZIYAN HOLIDAY
set all of the pace from off the rail, met the winner's bid into the
second turn, dueled to the head of the lane and weakened. MARCOLA
was never a factor. TAGUS showed little. COLD N TRICKY stalked the
pace four wide for a half mile and came up empty.

|
PAT'S BOY stalked the leaders three wide to the
half, was put to a drive into the second turn, rallied three wide to
the stretch then was under very vigorous right handed pressure
through the lane and eventually caught COLD N TRICKY in the late
stages. COLD N TRICKY was hustled to the front and set a pressured
pace to the second turn, responded to urging to the stretch, fought
off the winner's run to deep stretch then was collared in the very
late stages. RIVER GETAWAY had no speed and settled just off the
rail to the second turn, tried to rally two wide to the stretch but
could not make an impact. DANCES WITH CZARS put steady pressure on
COLD N TRICKY from the rail to the second turn, continued his
pressure to mid stretch then weakened. TAGUS had no speed, came two
then three wide to the stretch but finished evenly late. MARCOLA
bobbled in the first stride out of the gate then was bumped and
jostled between rivals, clipped heels and stumbled briefly nearing
the finish line the first time and was always outrun. PRIVATE TOUR
was not a factor. |

|
MAN O' ROAR raced up inside to gain a short lead
into the first turn and alternated from off the rail, responded into
the stretch while remaining off the rail, drew clear and was ridden
out to the line. MINTURN pressed the pace between horses from the
outset, was squeezed off between the leaders at the five eighths but
remained a factor, tried to squeeze through on the rail inside the
winner nearing the three eighths, steadied hard and slipped back but
kept to his task and was coming back on late without threatening for
the win. RIVER GETAWAY steadied from between horses at the start and
lagged to the second turn, circled three wide to rally into the lane
then lost his punch. TAGUS was never far back, commenced his bid
four wide at the three eighths, challenged the winner into the lane
and gradually faded. MARCOLA raced unhurried early, came three wide
on the second turn then failed to respond. OUR WHIZBANG lagged to
the second turn, tried to rally while five wide on the second turn
but was never a factor. SHOOTIN' Z BULL steadied inside COUNT ANOMAR
at the start then settled and was three wide to the second turn,
then stopped four wide on the second turn and was eased in the
stretch but walked off. COUNT ANOMAR broke inward and raced up three
wide to duel for the lead to the second turn, stopped suddenly and
was eased in the stretch but walked off. |

|
LEGENDARY STAR took back after the break and
trailed to the second turn, came two wide into the lane, angled out
approaching the furlong pole, continued to respond and was up in the
final stages from the extreme outside. SANTIAGO EXPRESS tracked the
dueling leaders from the rail throughout, waited for room inside
FUTURE HIT at the quarter pole, came through an opening in the upper
stretch to gain command leaving the furlong pole but could not quite
hold off the winner. TAGUS raced unhurried to the second turn while
racing just off the rail, entered the lane behind a wall of horses,
split foes at the sixteenth pole and closed willingly. MINTURN
pulled hard in the early going while forwardly placed and four wide
to the backstretch, was taken back slightly after a half mile but
was forced four wide again on the second turn, offered a menacing
bid approaching the eighth pole then lost some of his punch in the
late stages. FUTURE HIT set all of the pace from the inside to the
head of the lane and gradually weakened. FU MAN SLEW dueled outside
FUTURE HIT to the stretch and slackened. STAR OF GAIA stalked the
pace three wide throughout and came up empty in the lane. SCORCHER
was well placed from the rail for a half mile and gave way steadily.

DO NOT ASSUME broke alertly then took a favorable
striking position just off the dueling leaders from the inside,
eased off the rail into the second turn, circled the leaders three
wide to take command at the quarter pole, drew clear in the upper
stretch then extended his advantage while being kept to his task.
LEGENDARY STAR was not asked for speed in the early going, responded
when called upon on the second turn, rallied three wide into the
stretch but lost much of his punch in the final sixteenth. TEXAS
TOBY K was void of early speed as usual, circled rivals four wide on
the second turn but passed mainly tiring horses. BLADE EXPRESS was
hustled in the early going to gain a short lead into the first turn,
dueled with BOLD GRILL to the second turn, disposed of that rival
but had little response when challenged by the winner nearing the
quarter pole. TAGUS was permitted to settle in the early stages then
had no response when the test came. BOLD GRILL raced up outside to
prompt the pace to the second turn but had little left. MANTON
stalked the leaders from just off the rail to the second turn and
gave out. DIN'S DYNASTY was forwardly placed while four wide to the
backstretch, but faded steadily nearing the half pole.

CERVEZA TOM contested early pace from the inside,
continued along rail in prolonged duel to the stretch, edged away
and held sway under urging. PRIMEGOLD set or forced the pace outside
winner well into the final turn, drifted out slightly entering the
stretch, then battled gamely to wire to narrowly miss. ANZA reserved
chasing the leaders from the inside, came off the fence into last
turn, split foes, then drifted out bit through the stretch and got
up late for show. FLYING GENERAL three wide early, angled in some
chasing the pace, moved up bit approaching last turn but failed to
sustain effort. BOLD IN A STORM angled to the rail while settling
off the leaders, came back off fence on the second turn, swung out
further around the final turn and into the stretch but never
menaced. KING OF THE DERBY saved ground throughout and lacked any
late response. TAGUS tucked in behind dueling pair while bit off the
rail early, remained two wide to final turn and weakened. CALIFORNIA
POWER unhurried while outside rival early, saved ground into the
stretch but was never a factor and also weakened.
