Race Summary

AWSUGAHNOW settled in hand four wide early, fanned six wide leaving the turn, edged in a bit to go after the leaders, reached the front a furlong out and drove clear under strong handling. STARS PORTENT, always well placed and between horses three or four wide, was not a match for the winner in the late going while gamely earning the place. PURE STAR, up close inside early, moved three wide, gained even terms for the lead between horses in the upper stretch but couldn't sustain the needed momentum. LEISURE, within striking distance and five wide, was empty when the test came. STAR OF LUVINA, within easy striking distance along the inside to the stretch, eased out three or four wide for the drive but lacked a response. LILLY CARSON sprinted clear two wide, made the pace to the stretch and faltered. HIGH CHOLESTEROL drifted out at the start bumping CASCADE ROSE, forced that one out on TALE OF THE QUEEN, was outrun to the lane, continued well off the inside and wasn't a threat. SWEET DIECISEIS tracked the pace four or five wide to the stretch, came out wider and weakened. TALE OF THE QUEEN, bumped at the start by CASCADE ROSE when that one was forced out, moved near the inside and wasn't a factor. CASCADE ROSE hopped while breaking slowly, was bumped by HIGH SCHOLESTEROL and forced out on TALE OF THE QUEEN, then never menaced.

Race Summary

MARQUEE DELIVERY, patiently handled and four or five wide, swept to the front in the upper stretch, drew clear and was ridden out the remainder. STARS PORTENT gained the lead three or four wide early, lost it to WE WILL ROCK YOU (IRE) from the inside, continued up close into the stretch and was no match for the winner. SILVER BREEZE, outrun for a half, moved inside, rallied from the rail and bested the rest. PERFECT MOTION, unhurried but never far back and racing near the inside between rivals, managed a mild late gain. COMEDY, within easy striking distance and five or six wide most of the way, failed to fire. WE WILL ROCK YOU (IRE), near the inside, made a swift move to gain a slim lead early on the turn, lost the advantage to the winner in the upper stretch and faltered. ASPIRING raced in contention into the upper stretch four or five wide and flattened out. YOU CALL THAT ART was outrun. LUNA SOMBRA, between horses three wide in a forward position for a half, weakened thereafter. AWSUGAHNOW raced near the inside and weakened soon after going a half.
