Race Summary

SOUTHERN TENACITY quickly went to the front to set the pace and drew off to prove best in handy fashion. CENTRIPETAL MOTION showed speed from the outset and held second while no match for the winner. SILVER SIXPENCE finished well near the inside rail to best the others. SPANISH CRYSTAL was forwardly placed outside rivals to the stretch then weakened. LACE AND LATIGO ducked in at the start then failed to threaten. POSSESTING moved up outside rivals leaving the turn then flattened out. LADY LAWYER showed early speed along the inside rail then tired. SANNA ANNA tired. ACT RIGHT showed little. CANE'S PALACE was outrun.

Race Summary

STELLAR BABY was outrun early inside, angled out on the turn, closed well and was clear late. POSSESTING raced outside off the pace, loomed boldly in the stretch but was outfinished. SILVER SIXPENCE raced off the pace, made a menacing rally inside in the stretch but was too late. IT'S RING A BELL vied between rivals with a narrow lead then gradually weakened. R B PROMISE KEPT moved inside to engage her entrymate on the turn then weakened slightly. SARAVA SOUND dropped back early then closed well without menacing. SPANISH CRYSTAL lunged at the start, moved up quickly outside, bore out on the turn and retreated. LACE AND LATIGO broke in a complete tangle and was never a factor. ACT RIGHT was always outrun. MILLIEPOWER forced the pace while wide then stopped abruptly.
