|
PRETTY KATHERINE stalked the pace inside, bid along
the rail on the turn to gain the lead nearing the quarter pole,
dueled inside, inched away past midstretch and proved best under
urging. LADY LUMBERJACK chased a bit off the rail then between foes,
continued outside a rival on the urn, came three deep into the
stretch, bumped with JILONA in midstretch and just got the place.
ROYAL FORTUNE sprinted to the early lead and angled in then lugged
out some, dueled between horses then outside the winner on the turn
and until past midstretch, could not match that one and just lost
second. BIRTHDAY TIME broke in a bit, settled inside then moved up
along the rail on the turn, continued along the fence in the stretch
and was outfinished. JILONA stalked a bit off the rail, bid three
deep on the turn, fell back some leaving the turn, drifted in and
brushed BIRTHDAY TIME then came out and bumped with the runner-up in
midstretch and weakened. EXOTIC DESIGN settled outside or off the
rail, angled in some leaving the turn and did not rally. GOLDEN
NOODLE SOUP chased between foes then three deep on the backstretch,
angled in a bit off the rail on the turn and weakened. The stewards
conducted an inquiry into the bumping in the stretch between the
runner-up and JILONA but made no change when they ruled both runners
contributed to the contact between them. |
