| Race Summary |
|
JUSTWILL was hard ridden while off the pace, lugged
out a bit while three wide on the turn, rallied into the final
furlong and closed fast to get up late. VALID PERFORMANCE was off
slow, raced well back in the field, moved out in upper stretch,
rallied into the final furlong and closed well but missed. GENTLE
FLYER showed early speed then dropped back, saved ground on the
turn, swung out entering the stretch, made a bid outside the furlong
marker, led into the final sixteenth but was caught. RED BIRD SMOKES
stumbled at the start, dueled for the lead, vied into the final
furlong and tired. CAMPFIRE COFFEE broke a bit slow, raced well back
in the field and failed to threaten. VALID STRIPES broke inward and
a bit slow, rushed up on the backstretch, engaged the leaders while
three to four wide on the turn but was used up. UNA DE GATO was off
slow, raced near the back of the field and never reached contention.
AFTERNOON QUEEN chased early then dropped back, raced four wide on
the turn and retreated. GULCH'S WASP was away awkwardly, dropped
well behind the field and was outrun. CIEN MAN dueled for the lead,
dropped out near the three-eighths pole and stopped.
