the rail but could not get past the winner in the drive. FIVE CARD
MONTY raced close up inside and lacked a winning bid. RIVERSON raced
three wide and also failed to rally. ABLEBUZZ lacked speed and was
never a factor. COPY RUNNER hit the gate at the start and was always
outrun. |

| Race Summary |
|
BINNY'S TRICK, up close from the start, moved
inside front-running BLUEGRASS FEVER, took over three wide into the
upper stretch, drew off when asked, then was gathered up very late
as much the best. PUNCH BAG, outrun for five furlongs, came out six
wide for the drive and was hard ridden to be up for the place. WORK,
bumped at the start by BALLADO BREEZE, tracked the pace four or five
wide into the final furlong and flattened out. WESTERN BULLDOG,
outrun near the inside into the lane, improved position but wasn't a
serious threat. ALYS WILDCAT, outrun early, improved position four
wide while not a serious threat. BLUEGRASS FEVER sprinted clear
early, raced four or five wide, showed the way for five furlongs and
tired. I'M SKY HIGH, forwardly placed near the inside to the
stretch, was finished when straightened for the drive. BALLADO
BREEZE drifted out bumping WORK at the start, raced in contention
for a half while five wide and tired. |
